Acquisition by Vattenfall
The Swedish energy company Vattenfall acquires VEAG and integrates it as its own engineering firm. VEAG thereafter continuously develops its experience in operating and maintaining power plants and power generation facilities.
Name change to Vattenfall Europe Power Consult
VEAG PowerConsult is rebranded Vattenfall Europe Power Consult. The initials VPC remain the company’s name to this day.
Foundation of VPC East d.o.o.
VPC establishes a Serbian company, VPC East d.o.o. in Belgrade, henceforth responsible for planning and supervising the building of thermal plants in the Balkan region.
VPC is acquired by the palero Group and becomes independent in terms of both suppliers and operators, pledging itself exclusively to the needs of its clients.
Acquisition of Encotec Energy (India) Pvt. Ltd.
The internationalization of VPC’s activities has been advanced further. The company acquires 50% of Encotec Energy (India) Pvt. Ltd., an Indian company based in Delhi. Encotec’s portfolio comprises operational management of power plants, delivery of photovoltaic systems and trading of Chinese spare parts for power plants.
Foundation of Conwico GmbH
Another milestone in the history of VPC: Conwico GmbH (Construction with Competence) is founded in Vetschau in Brandenburg. Conwico provides turnkey project implementation in the form of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and EPCM (engineering, procurement and construction management).
Member of Dornier Group
VPC becomes an important member of the Dornier Group, enabling the company to deal with energy-related tasks in the key infrastructure sectors of mobility, aviation, water and real estate.
