Maintenance planning of Moorburg CHP Plant
Overview
The MoorburgCombined Heat and Power Plant in the Port of Hamburg, which was commissioned in 2015, is a 2 x 827 MW twin-unit plant. The hard coal used by the plant is supplied through the plant’s own dock facilities. The cooling of the power plant is designed as once-through cooling system, with water extracted from the southern Elbe; alternatively, closed-circuit cooling via the hybrid cooling tower is also possible. Since the end of 2016, the MoorburgCHP Plant has been supplying process steam to the neighboring refinery.
VPC designed and created the maintenance planning system in SAP PM. In addition to the scope of maintenance, the inspection tasks were transferred to the SAP system.
